Hercules and Diana
A pair of Low Countries early 18th Century sandstone figures of Hercules and Diana. Hercules inspired by the Farnese. Hercules is depicted holding a fleece and leaning against a rocky outcrop, Diana shown with a crescent moon in her hair and leaning on a tree trunk.
Provenance: Eikenhorst Wassenaar, the home of HRH Princess Christina of The Netherlands.
