18th Century English Lead Cistern
An 18th Century English lead cistern dated 1767 decorated with a series of four figures representing the seasons and other allegorical figures, masks and scrolls surmounted by hands in crowns. These cisterns were used on English houses to retain rainwater for use in the house and garden.
